I have had several Manicure Filing Systems over the Years. My first was a Nail Genie. Good machine. Mine is 30+ years old, but limited nail bits and the newer Nail Genie bits won't fit the old Nail Genie. My next one was a SuperNail Deluxe Hand Held. Not expensive and you get what you pay for. Plastic on the hand held broken, so I have the bits now, but no machine to insert them into. Then I bought a Red. Had multiple bits, but again, specific to the RED machine. Not very expensive and that being said, doesn't have good power. I think I bought it to use on my heels and feet to remove the cracks, etc...no enough power to do that. The Nail Genie is still working fine, but I only have 4 bits and the emery board tip works the best. I wanted more variety to get cuticles, etc. The Nail Genie currently sold, has different tips that are used, but won't fit my old Nail Genie. Good marketing strategy to get me to buy newer model. That would be a minimum of $149 and then add on extra bits. So, that led me to start investigating other machines. I almost went for the SuperNail for $140, but then remembered that little hand held SuperNail and lost confidence in the quality of the plastic. Had good reviews, but I still opted for the Medicool Turbo File 2.This Medicool System uses 3/32 bits so that in itself gives much more versatility. I love the variable speed feature. Allows me to slow it down to get close to the edge, but not hit the cuticle. Speed it up when I need it. None of the others did that. My old Nail Genie has High and Low and maybe that is the same, but I like the control. I can slow it down and stay on that spot longer and get the results I want, without the injury to the skin area. It comes with a great DVD that shows you how to use the various bits and that was helpful to me. I really needed to know which tip to use for the manicure, pedicure, cuticles area, shaping the nail, getting the cuticles, etc.It comes with a 2 or 3 bits, but I went to the Medicool Web site and ordered both the Manicure and Pedicure bits. They are a little pricey, but I love them.I bought a small drill that was on sale at Christmas time...some come on sale...the drill sucked, no power, but it had 3/32 bits that came with it. I naturally saved them.. I just added them to my collection for my Dremel. Well, they have never been used, so I pulled them out and added them to my Manicure/Pedicure collection. An from the DVD from Medicool, I have some idea as to what I could use them for. At least I have the option with this Medicool system which uses the 3/32 bit size to try them out.So, at this point in time, I love this Medicool Turbo 2 Nail Filing System. I would recommend it to a family member or friend.Again, I like the 3/32 bits. I like the variable speed and it has good power that I've seen thus far. Small handle to you can manipulate the tool easily, especially when doing your own nails and toe nails.
